Details: Come join us at VML Winery Friday, June 28th at 6pm to enjoy an evening of Folk and Indie Rock! This night of live music will have three acts, including Cloud & Quiles. Whiskerman, and Mr. Kind. A drink ticket is included with the $25 ticket price and food tickets can be purchased for an additional $12 which includes a pulled pork or tri-tip sandwich, ranch beans and a green salad. This is the first concert of a three part series; the entire concert series ticket package is also available for $60. Details: 3 time Grammy Award winner Alan Pasqua was born in New Jersey and began studying piano at the age of seven, playing both classical and jazz. He attended Indiana University and received his bachelor's degree in jazz studies from the New England Conservatory. While performing a concert at Carnegie Hall, Pasqua met the legendary drummer Tony Williams. Pasqua was asked to join The New Tony Williams Lifetime along with guitarist Allan Holdsworth. After recording two "Lifetime" albums for Columbia Records, Pasqua relocated in Los Angeles. His career in L.A. broadened as he started playing with more rock and pop artists. He has been a member of the bands of Bob Dylan and Santana. Some of his other pop album and touring credits include: Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Elton John and Queen Latifa. In addition, he has worked with composers John Williams, Quincy Jones, Dave Grusin, Jerry Goldsmith and Henry Mancini and on motion picture soundtracks.

We will meet at the winery to start our day with a bike ride through beautiful Dry Creek Valley over to the Lake Sonoma Fish Hatchery. At the hatchery we will take a private tour of the facility and learn about the ecology of Dry Creek Valley as well as some local history. After the tour we will head back to the winery for and an amazing lunch prepared by Bea Beasley Catering, who will be serving up a beautiful light Greek Buffet for everyone to enjoy. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a different side of Dry Creek and gain a new appreciation for why it is one of the greatest places on earth. The ride is about 14 mile round trip so if you are not interested in biking you are more than welcome to join us at the winery for the party. We will be pouring vertical selections of our Windacre Merlot going back to our very first vintage in 2000, as well as early vintages of our Windacre Cabernet Franc, Jones Vineyard Cabernet Franc, Block 21 Cabernet Sauvignon, Dunnsden Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Block 8 Cabernet Sauvignon and Miktos.This is an excellent opportunity to taste and purchase wines that have been cellared properly for a number of years.
